Week 8

Tuesday 26th May 2020.

Good morning boys and girls, a nice short week this week. I hope you all enjoyed the Bank Holiday yesterday and the rest from home learning. (I hope all the mums and dads had a rest!).

This week Primary 3 are working on Unit 29 for spellings and this is the last week for learning number facts for 19. Primary 2 are learning their number facts for 9! Can you add and subtract all the facts quickly in your head? Maybe you could teach your mum or dad and play the cowboy mental maths game!

We are practicing the Welly Boot Toss and the Super strong Challenge this week for Sports Day. Check out the Healthy Kidz link for instructions!

For our Rainbow activity this week:

Rainbow Walking Water Easy Science Projects Experiments for Kids | The Science Kid

What a fun science experiment for kids! Here we are doing the Rainbow Walking Water or Rainbow water, kids science project. It is fun and easy.

Here is a great colourful activity, get collecting your toilet roll tubes, kitchen roll tubes and cardboard containers. This might take a week or two but give it a go and see what a beautiful Rainbow Town you can create!

Sofia has a beautiful new hair style- it suits you perfectly Sofia!

Thomas has been baking again! I think he is ready for the Bake Off! Those do look delicious Thomas.

Joanna and Rebecca have been experimenting with colour! They did the skittles experiment but they put their sweets in patterns, what a beautiful effect! And the walking Rainbow they made looks fab!!

The Gruffalo Storytelling

Boys and girls, I realise that story this in not related to Rainbows but I know how much you enjoy the story and I know it is Mrs Hughes favourite! So sit back and relax and enjoy The Gruffalo!

The weather has been great for gardening and Jessica and her mum have been very busy!

Amelia has also been out enjoying the beautiful weather, what an amazing tree Amelia! She has also been having fun with her doll in her paddling pool in the garden.

Jack has been having fun this week, he and Annie were amazed at the colours moving in the rainbow experiment, he was practicing balancing without touching the stones! Well done! He made some delicious flapjacks and has been reading lots on Oxford Owl.

Lois has been out riding her bike and making muffin pizzas! Yum!
