PTA Christmas jumper and movie morning! We had a brilliant fun morning!
Many thanks to Colin Tinsley who shared the Christmas Story with us in such a fun and enjoyable way!
What great excitement in our classroom today! The postman arrived with a very special package for some very special children! A few weeks ago the boys and girls wrote to Santa Claus and today everyone received a reply. We are delighted to know that all the P2/3 boys and girls are on Santa's nice list!
P2 problem solving: We had to help Rudolph decorate a Christmas tree. He had to put four stars on a tree. He coloured each star either red or yellow. We had to find out how many different ways Rodolfh could colour the four stars.
P3 Problem Solving: Robot Monster problem solving. Using different robot parts we had to make a robot monster. We had to work out how tall it was, what is the tallest monster we could make, what is the smallest monster we could make and what other heights of monster could we make. We had all the possible heights from 14 cm up to 22 cm. It was great fun!
'Simply the Nativity'. We were all amazing!
'Exploding Food' Science Show!
Feel Good Friday!- Our 'Wellbeing Warriors' gave us back our Christmas bookmarks all beautifully laminated.
Hockey - Christine taught us to play 'The Numbers Game' today. We had to listen, remember and practise.
We collected lots of pencil cases to send out to children in Romania for Christmas.
We wore our 'Wellies' to school to support our farming families.
Problem Solving in Primary 3. We had to find pairs of dominoes that make a total of 13 spots. We had to think of different ways to count the spots. We could count in twos and use doubles!
Problem solving! Primary 2 had to find our how many ways they could make Nelly have more than 5 spots, exactly 5 spots and less than 5 spots. It was a great challenge!
We made shadow puppets. We found out that the closer the puppet is to the light, the larger the shadow and the further away the puppet is from the light, the smaller the shadow!
Today we mixed primary colours- red, yellow and blue to make secondary colours orange, purple and green.
Our WAU topic is 'Colour and Light'. Have a look at what we have been learning!
Our STEM Sentinus Challenge Day- it was amazing!
Our trip to Armagh County Museum. We learned about Houses and Homes in the past.
