Primary 6/7

Welcome to the P6/7 Class of 2016 / 2017

Welcome to P6 /7 Class.   The children are kind, happy, inquisitive and very well behaved.  We are a busy class but sometimes we like to have some fun!

Kingsmills Hockey Tournament

On Thursday 13th October, our hockey team travelled to Newtownhamilton to take part in the Kingsmills tournament.  The weather did not deter them from a fantastic performance all round and with the winner decided upon points won, they arrived proudly back at school with another piece of silverware to add to our collection! Well done!

We are very proud of James Curry.  He was awarded a certificate for his fiddle at Stormont Castle.  The Right Hon.  Arlene Foster presented it.

March

The hockey players of the Month (March) were Josh McKee and Abbie McNulty.   Congratulations to them both!
The Water Bus came to visit the school on the 3rd April.  We were taught the importance of how to preserve fresh water as it makes up only 1% of all of the water in the world!  Also we found out how water is cleansed why we must keep drinking between 1 and 2 litres of water every day.

We had a fantastic coaching session with Clive Ross and Paul Marshall who visited school today trying to promote rugby within schools.

FACT Drama

Football Tournament at Cope P.S

We enjoyed another football tournament at Loughall F.C on 7th June. Once again the weather was on our side.

10 teams in total competed for the Neill Buckley memorial shield and cup.

A fantastic performance in the first round meant we were up against Killyman P.S in the Semi-finals, with no score we went to the dreaded penalties! 7-6 saw us through to the Final against Moyallen P.S, again with no score it went to penalties! This time things did not go our way but we played our hearts out and are very pleased with runners up.

Jonathan Rainey was awarded player of the team! Well done boys!
