January

This week our nursery rhyme is Baa Baa Black Sheep and our letter sound is b. We have been enjoying trying different foods beginning with b for snack. We had broccoli, beetroot and butterfly buns for a treat.

This week our nursery rhyme was Humpty Dumpty. We used Humpty to carry out an experiment. We wanted to find out which was the best material to keep Humpty safe when he fell off the wall. We tried to make our experiment as fair as possible. We loved finding out if Humpty was cracked after his fall!!

We love a snow day at Cortamlet. There wasn’t very much snow today but we made the most of what we had. We had great fun playing in the snow.

Our new topic is Nursery Rhymes. This week we are working on Hickory Dickory Dock. We took part in a STEAM activity where we looked at how pendulums in a clock might work. Then we had a go at making some pendulums of our own.

Today we had a visit from our local PSNI. They were teaching us about farm safety.

We found ou that the wheels of the tractor are really big. We also realised that there are lots of places around a tractor where the driver wouldn’t be able to see little people like us.

Today we were making pictures with our Numicon shapes.
