We had fun making a dog from Jumping Clay

We had a ‘Fun Day’ in school. We played party games, outside games and payed on the bouncy castles.
Sports Day- we had a brilliant day taking part in our races. The weather was beautiful and so we had to end with our annual water game to cool off!
Our 6th Eco flag was delivered today during Sports Day!
Crossfire came into school today to teach us all about how to stay safe when gaming. We learnt about God and that gaming can be fun when enjoyed with our friends and not strangers from the online world. We all had a go at trying out some of the games!
Sports Reach came to school today. We learnt a lot about God and then we played sports.

Today we took part in the Neil Buckley Memorial Tournament. What a fantastic day of football, full of skills, goals and the dreaded penalties! I think it was the poor spectators who felt the pressure more than the players! A special mention to Isaac R for winning player of the team and of course to Isaac J for stepping forward and taking that last crucial penalty right when we needed it! You are all amazing and this one was very much deserved for a team who always gives 100%. A huge thank you to the parents who cheered us on right to the end, we couldn’t do it without you!
Patricia from LMC came in to school to demonstrate how to cook Tikka Mince. She taught us how important it is to have a balanced diet and I think it is fair to say her food went down a treat! Yum!

Our Hockey Stars of the Week 2nd May
Newtownhamilton Hockey Tournament. We had a fantastic day of hockey at the Newtownhamilton tournament. Amazing hockey skills demonstrated by both teams with one team winning second place. Well done everyone!
We had a fantastic afternoon decorating Easter cupcakes with Mrs Herron! Happy Easter everyone!
We finished out Titanic models from junk craft today!
The Amazing Journey came to Cortamlet today! We met several Biblical characters including Simon Peter and Mary Magdalene. We tasted food eaten during those times and dressed up in Biblical clothes.

We had an amazing day at the Ardmore Hockey Tournament. For once the weather was on our side! Both teams played brilliantly and the standard of hockey was amazing. We are so proud of you all! A special mention goes to Harry Johnston who won Player of the Tournament! Great job everyone! Also a huge thank you to all the parents who provided transport and stood at the side to cheer us all on!

Carol Singing! We went Carol Singing to St Mary's residential care home. We had a lovely morning singing, they made us very welcome.

Sentinus Science Workshop. We had a fantastic afternoon learning all about flight. We made our own kites and then worked in pairs to make rockets which we launched outside! The height some of the rockets went in the air due to the pressure build up was amazing!

We had a birthday today. Lois was 11. She gave out buns to everyone. They were delicious.
Lois raised £1500 for the Princess Charity by cutting and donating her hair. We love her new hair style.

Star Hockey Players of the Week
We all enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Armagh Museum to learn more about The Victorians. We were able to have a go at writing with quills, dressing up in Victorian clothes and looking at how technology has changed throughout the years.

It was Zoe’s 10th birthday. She brought in chocolate cake for everyone! Happy birthday, Zoe.
Grace’s farm safety poster was selected to be featured in next years farm safety calendar! She won a £50 voucher! Congratulations Grace and we can’t wait to receive our next copy of the calendar.

Well done to Week 2 Hockey Players of the Week
We had a great afternoon making our own mud clay and mud faces on the tree! Lots of muddy hands but the finished product was brilliant!
Our first hockey lesson. We had great fun. Louis couldn’t play but he had his red and yellow referee cards ready at hand. Thankfully, he didn’t need to use them. Our star players were Grace, Eliza, Sam and Isaac Robb!

We have been making the most of the dry weather and getting outside to complete another Forest School session. This week we made our own noughts and crosses game using sticks and stones. This activity definitely required team work! To finish we peeled some the carrots we picked yesterday during maths and enjoyed tasting them!
