February

We are really enjoying our topic of birds. Today we made bird houses from junk art. We had to think about a small door for the bird and something for the bird to sit on while eating. We had thought about the size our bird hoses needed to be and how they should be decorated.

Many thanks to Mrs Herron for making scrambled eggs to help P1 remember their new sound ā€˜e’. It was delicious!

P1’s Shape Hunt. We found lots of circles, squares, rectangles and triangles around the school grounds.

Some great bird creations at the dough table this morning during Play Based Learning.

This week we talked about how to attract more birds to our class garden. We decided on bird feeders. Then we placed them in the garden and now we just need to wait and see if they come.

We have welcomed 2 new Busy Bees to our class this term. Ezra and Nancy have settled in really well and are enjoying lots of fun with their class.

Our new topic for February is birds. We went outside to see what birds we could find in our school grounds.
