Blackpool 2025

Day 1- We were all up with the birds this morning, meeting in Markethill at 4.15am to get the bus to board the ferry. We all enjoyed a yummy breakfast which was just what we all needed. A very choppy crossing so we were very glad to see Scotland. After a few hours drive we arrived at Gretna Green shopping village which involved a much needed coffee refuel for Mrs Whyte! Some lovely gifts purchased before jumping back on the bus to make our way to our hotel in Blackpool. Lots of excitement as we made our way to our rooms to settle in and then it was time for our evening meal before heading out to a very competitive game of bowls! Isaac came out on top with a score of 107! I think it is fair to say we are all absolutely exhausted but buzzing for another exciting day ahead of us tomorrow.

Day 2- The end of a very busy day! After a fantastic breakfast we headed to the Sandcastle Indoor Water Park, the largest water park in the UK, for 3 hours of fun. The slides were amazing and we all had a blast. Then it was a quick change to head to Blackpool Zoo where we had our lunch and then off to see the animals. Favourites of the day were definitely the elephants and the Orangutans, the highlight was when mummy orangutan wanted to show us all her baby. The weather was beautiful which made it so much more enjoyable. After another lovely evening meal we headed to the cinema. All tucked up in bed ready for a fun packed day tomorrow at the Pleasure Beach...watch this space for some brave thrill seekers on the Pepsi Max!

Day 3- A fantastic day at Pleasure Beach! The excitement was off the scale and with the black skies clearing we were ready to go! Our two thrill seekers braving β€˜The Big One’ were Amelia and Jack. So many brilliant rides to choose from and Mrs Whyte was glad to have a raincoat on the SpongeBob water fight ride as it was a very unfair 6 against 1... Then it was back to the hotel for our evening meal before heading to Stanley Park for some games and who knew Cortamlet was so competitive! Our last night before it’s an early start in the morning to head to Burnley Stadium and Dalscone Fun Farm before heading back to the boat.
