Day 1
We had an early start in Markethill at 4.15am! Then onwards to Belfast to board the boat. Red hats were issued, there was a lot of excitement for such an early hour. Everyone enjoyed a tasty breakfast and a walk around. Then back onto the coach for the journey to Gretna Outlet village. This was an opportunity for a few boys to catch 40 winks! After a quick stop for lunch and some shopping we were back on the road again to Blackpool. We travelled through some heavy rain and arrived in Blackpool in good time, allowing us to have a quick stop at Stanley Park to stretch our legs. Then onward to The Sutcliffe Hotel, with rooms allocated and a quick freshen up we headed for dinner. It stopped raining when we arrived in Blackpool which allowed us to get out for a walk along the famous Blackpool promenade. We took some lovely pictures as the sun was setting and the wind was blowing a gale! At 10.05pm I am happy to report that everyone is tucked up in bed, ready for a busy day tomorrow. Over and out!
