January

Today for a Friday treat we made chocolate nests. We have been thinking about building nests all week but I think these were the best nests for P1 and Busy Bees πŸ˜€πŸ˜‹.

There haven’t been many good days for outdoor play since we have come back to school after Christmas but today was a good day and we loved getting back outdoors to have some fun and fresh air while we were learning.

We have been working hard on our motor skills at indoor P.E.

After collecting all the natural materials for our nests yesterday, today was nest building day. We worked really hard to make our nests like a real birds nest. We found out that birds make it look easy when it is actually a really tricky job. πŸͺΊ We were so proud of our finished nests.

We have looked at how birds make their nests. Today we went outdoors to find some materials to make our own nests. I wonder will they be as good as a real birds nest?

We are really enjoying our bird topic. This week we enjoyed playing with birds at the small world area and getting creative in the dough area.

We have been having fun working on numbers to 8.

We want to get birds back to our garden so that we can learn lots from them by bird watching. We made bird feeders for the birds and put them input sensory garden. We will be able to do bird watching from our classroom window.

Today we started our new topic about birds. We used our outdoor classroom to try out our binoculars and have a go at bird watching.

We are excited to be back at school and learning in the new term. We had fun in our new play area where we can have a go at some woodwork. Maybe we could build something with our woodwork skills.
