Our 5th Green Flag!

Monday 12th June

We enjoyed a lovely morning at the Saint Patrick’s Centre, Downpatrick. Our Primary 6 and 7 pupils from the Eco-Committee were presented with our 5th Green Flag. The judges highly commended our school for Outdoor learning, our newly funded Pollinator Garden, newly planted fruit trees, our weather station, our yearly Autumn walk and our Eco Christmas craft activity.

We are planting daffodil bulbs in our Community School Pollinator Garden that was funded by DEARA

We have been awarded our fourth Eco Flag and have the pleasure of holding on to it for another 2 years!

Planting trees for the future!

P5/6 were awarded certificates for taking part in The Edina Trust Spring Bulb Investigation. Well done everyone, we had a beautiful display at the front of school.

Waste Week 2020

This week beginning Monday 9th March, we are taking part in Waste Week.  We have been thinking about ways that we can cut down on single use plastics and what we could use our unwanted plastic for.

Our homework this week is to create a waste monster and the winner will have their poster stuck to their classroom bin.  On Tuesday, we all took part in a fact finding mission.  It was great fun hunting for the plastic facts.  On Thursday, we are planning on turning our unwanted bottles into something more useful, check back to see how we get on!

We have been awarded our third Eco Schools Flag!

Spring Planting
