Health and Wellbeing

Our health and wellbeing is very important and at Cortamlet Primary we are really good at getting outside for outdoor play, to do our daily mile, to do hockey with Christine and football with Chris on our fantastic 3G pitch.

Lots of boys and girls have been out on their bikes, riding around getting lots of fresh air and exercising.. Two of our boys ride past their granny and grandad's house and give them a wave. This is a lovely thing to do and I am sure that makes their grandparents very happy.

We also have being doing some Mindfulness in school and that is an important strategy to use as well. We know how to do breathing exercises and ways to keep calm. Getting into a good routine is important, get up early, eat healthy food, drink lots of water and go to bed early. It is important to get lots of rest. Please remember that it is not helpful for children to be watching the news all the time.

Below is some helpful information to help us all keep happy and healthy. There are some people we can contact, who can help us if we are worried.

Remember there is always someone who can help.

Time To Read Support

Time to Read have been working with Sam from Place to Wonder who has recorded herself reading her new children’s relaxation book for us https://youtu.be/QZDSTOUYN2c

The aim of the book is to help lower anxiety, and has activities to help create coping strategies and promote emotional wellbeing for children aged five to ten years old.
