11th May Week 6

Friday 15th May

Welcome to the end of another week of home learning.  You are all doing an amazing job with your school work at home.  This week on Study ladder we have been working really hard and there are lots of new certificates to be printed off at home.  Congratulations to Grace who achieved her gold certificate this week.  Louis has achieved his platinum certificate.  Mina has achieved a bronze trophy and Sam has achieved his silver trophy.  Well done to everyone.  Below are our certificate winners for this week.  Also don't forget to check out the Balmoral show winners in each class after lunch today.  Thankyou for all your entries to the show, it has been a great week and I have really enjoyed seeing you having fun and getting in the spirit of the show.  Thankyou so much for your involvement, you are all making my job easier when I see your smiling faces.

Congratulation to our certificate winners this week. Everyone has worked really hard. Well done.

Monday 11th May

Welcome back to week 6 of home learning.  You are all doing a great job in very difficult circumstances and we are all so proud of the boys and girls, mums and dads for working really hard at home.  We hope you had a good rest on Friday and enjoyed celebrating VE day at home.

In normal circumstances this week would have been an important week for Northern Ireland and a lot of our boys and girls would have been getting excited about a trip to 'The Balmoral Show' I know that a lot of us are a bit disappointed to be missing the show this week so I thought we could have a virtual show.  You can send me some photos of something that you have at home or have been doing in lockdown that could be included in our virtual agricultural show.  You could send some pictures of a prize farm animal or a video of your pet doing a trick.  Maybe you have fantastic blooms in your garden at home that you could enter into the horticultural section of our virtual show.  We would like to see some safe use of farm machinery, real or toy or maybe something you have baked for the home industries section.  Have a think about what you have at home on your farm or at your house.  Mrs McBride and I are feeling competitive and we are going to look around and see what we could enter into the virtual Cortamlet Show.  We're looking forward to seeing what the virtual show has to offer and the more entries we get the better.

Happy Birthday Chloe. It looks like you had a great time at your princess party and the cake is certainly fit for a princess!

Today would have been the day that Chloe started school after turning 4 at the weekend. Welcome to Busy Bees Chloe, you look really smart in your lovely new uniform. We hope you enjoy many happy years at Cortamlet and we can't wait to see you in your new classroom.

Annie has been busy making a den with her toys and playing outside in the garden.
